Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Kenedy's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

Kenedy won the last time they faced Pettus and things went their way on Friday too. The Kenedy Lions took down the Pettus Eagles 62-43. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Kenedy had a senior duo take command as Marceo Farias dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds and Logan Hill dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Farias has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tristan Mireles, who posted four points along with eight boards and seven assists.

Kenedy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 26 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in 12 consecutive contests.

Kenedy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-16 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Pettus, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-19.

Kenedy will head out to take on Woodsboro at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodsboro will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Kenedy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pettus, they will welcome Yorktown at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
