Volleyball Recap: Labette County Comes Up Short

Labette County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Burlington Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Grizzlies of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Labette County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-21. As for Burlington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 21 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-6 record this season.

Labette County will take on Field Kindley on Tuesday. As for Burlington, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Independence on the 11th.
