Volleyball Recap: Sharon Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Sharon had won four straight games and Emmalie Yobe did her part to make it five on Monday. The Tigers came out on top against the Jamestown Muskies by a score of 3-1 with plenty of help from Yobe, who had six kills, five aces, and three digs. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 aces per game.

Sharon was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 20-25, 25-18, 25-23.

Sharon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alauna Wilson led the charge by getting nine kills, nine digs, and two aces. That's the most aces Wilson has posted since back in September. Dani Currie was another key player, getting nine digs and four aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Sharon was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in five consecutive matchups.

Sharon's victory bumped their record up to 11-4-1. As for Jamestown, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Sharon has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Oil City on the 7th. Jamestown has also already played their next contest (against Commodore Perry), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
