The Corinth Holders Pirates will venture away from home to challenge the Broughton Capitals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Corinth Holders will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Corinth Holders had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Rolesville on Thursday. The Pirates blew past the Rams 3-0.

Corinth Holders was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-20, 25-17.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Broughton and Enloe had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Capitals were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Eagles on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Capitals in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

One reason for the win was Broughton's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-19, 25-18.

Broughton's victory bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Corinth Holders, their win bumped their record up to 14-7.

Corinth Holders skirted past Broughton 3-2 when the teams last played back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
