Basketball Recap: Fort Payne Snags 13th Victory in Last 15 Games

Fort Payne had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They came out on top against the Gadsden City Titans by a score of 40-33. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 51-30 last Friday.

Despite the defeat, Gadsden City had strong showings from Naomi Wise, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds, and Madison Tinker, who posted ten points in addition to five boards and four steals. The dominant performance also gave Wise a new career-high in steals (four).

Fort Payne has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. As for Gadsden City, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
