Jordan Gonder leads a balanced attack to beat West Rowan

Recap: Northwest Cabarrus Trojans vs. West Rowan Falcons

After losing to the West Rowan Falcons the last time they met, the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Northwest Cabarrus came out on top against West Rowan by a score of 52-42 on Tuesday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northwest Cabarrus to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Gonder, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Anderson Lee, who scored ten points along with two steals.

When it comes to explaining why West Rowan lost, one person who can't be blamed is Will Givens Jr.. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Givens Jr. has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Deiondre Martin was another key contributor, scoring seven points.

Northwest Cabarrus' win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for West Rowan, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwest Cabarrus will take on South Rowan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Rowan comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for West Rowan, they will be playing at home against Robinson at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Robinson is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 65.7 points per game.
