Basketball Recap: Kern Valley Comes Up Short

Kern Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 51-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Corcoran Panthers. The Broncs lost against the Panthers in their previous head to head back in November of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 68-27 score last time.

Despite the loss, Kern Valley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Gilbert Bernal posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Aeden Quezada, who put up six points.

Kern Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Corcoran, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Kern Valley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Wasco at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Corcoran, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Orosi at 6:30 p.m. on December 2.
