Basketball Game Preview: Absarokee Huskies vs. Plenty Coups Warriors

The Absarokee Huskies will head out on the road to face off against the Plenty Coups Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Absarokee has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while Plenty Coups will arrive with 15 straight wins.

Absarokee heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Thursday. They fell 58-50 to Roberts. One positive for the Huskies, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Plenty Coups won against Reed Point/Rapelje on Saturday with 63 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. Plenty Coups beat Reed Point/Rapelje by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 63-19. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Plenty Coups' victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.4 points. As for Absarokee, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.

Absarokee was dealt a bruising 73-40 defeat at the hands of Plenty Coups when the teams last played on February 1st. Can Absarokee avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
