            Basketball Recap: Notre Dame de Sion Storm vs. St. Pius X Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Notre Dame de Sion  on Monday. They strolled past the St. Pius X Warriors with  points to spare, taking the game  59-44. For the Storm, this counts as revenge for the   49-44 victory the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in December of 2023.
 Notre Dame de Sion had a senior duo take command as  Taelyn Smith  went 6 for 10  en route to 19  points and seven  rebounds and  Abby Wendte  went 7 of 16  on her way to 17 points and six  boards.  Charlie Baity was another key player,  putting up ten  points and six  rebounds.
 St. Pius X's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Kate Sell, who  posted 15 points and six  boards. The team also got some help courtesy of  Caroline McCoy, who  went 5 for 11  en route to 13  points and seven  steals.
Notre Dame de Sion now  has a winning record of 9-8. As for St. Pius X, they dropped their record down to 6-8 with the  defeat, which was their seventh straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Notre Dame de Sion has  already played their next  contest (against Lincoln College Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. St. Pius X wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  matchup,  a  59-48  loss against Benton on the 28th.
