Port Charlotte took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the North Port Bobcats. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

While Port Charlotte won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-9, 25-23.

North Port is on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Port Charlotte is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Parrish Community at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Port, they will head out to challenge Lemon Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
