2. Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas)2012-13 record: 21-10

The Gaels’ run to the state championship game was fueled by two Division I guards who are now playing in college – but coach Krmpotich has 6-1 sophomores
Madison Washington and
Raychel Stanley to build around.
3. Centennial (Las Vegas)2012-13 record: 26-5
Head coach: Karen Weitz
The Bulldogs suffered severe losses to graduation but Centennial’s long tradition of success is unlikely to end. Expect more pressing, more up-tempo play and at least 22 wins.
4. Reed (Sparks)2012-13 record: 17-4
Head coach: Sara Schopper
When will Gabby Williams be back? Or will she? Williams tore her ACL midway through last season, but still has committed to UConn and her return date is, as with most ACL tear victims, up in the air. As soon as she steps on the court, the 5-11 Williams will make the Raiders one of the top teams in the state – but no one knows when, or if, that might happen. After all, Williams is a world-class high jumper as well, so healing completely is her first priority.
5. Liberty (Henderson)2012-13 record: 27-7
Head coach: Rich Santigate
Six-foot-2 junior
Paris Strawther averaged a double-double last year, and she’ll anchor the Patriots’ inside game. They need to figure out a way to get past Bishop Gorman and Centennial, however, as those teams were 3-0 against Liberty last year.
