Soccer Recap: Orion/Sherrard Comes Up Short

Orion/Sherrard and Dunlap squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Orion/Sherrard had to settle for second. They lost 8-0 to the Eagles. While losing is never fun, Orion/Sherrard can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 361st, while Dunlap are ranked 20th).

Orion/Sherrard's loss dropped their record down to 5-8-4. As for Dunlap, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3-3 record this season.

Orion/Sherrard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dunlap, they will square off against Limestone at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Dunlap will need to watch out since Limestone have now posted at least four goals in their last three matches.
