Softball Recap: Derry Comes Up Short

Derry lost to Knoch back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Trojans fell just short of the Knights by a score of 4-3. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by just one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Derry and nudges their season record down to 1-2. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for Knoch, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Derry will take on rival Indiana at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Knoch is set to challenge their familiar foe Freeport at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
