Volleyball Recap: Leander Lions vs. Langham Creek Lobos
While Leander didn't have the best season last year (they finished 16-28), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Langham Creek Lobos by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The Lions were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Lobos, so the Lions were just returning the favor.
Troy Acevedo paced Leander's offense, picking up seven kills. Acevedo got some help from Macy Cepeda and her eight assists. Emma Davis controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Leander's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Langham Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.
Leander wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Gregory-Portland on the 21st. As for Langham Creek, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against New Braunfels on the 21st.
