Volleyball Recap: Mauldin Comes Up Short

Mauldin lost against Boiling Springs on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mavericks fell 2-0 to the Bulldogs.

Coleman Wheatley was the offensive standout of the matchup as he had 21 assists. He is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 15 or more in each of the last 17 games he's played dating back to last season.

Mauldin has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Boiling Springs, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bulldogs beat Mauldin by a score of 2-0 later that day.
