It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sparta can now relate to. They fell 2-0 to the Carlyle Indians/Lady Indians on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Indians/Lady Indians: they've now lost eight in a row.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-15.

Maddie Schulein and Ruthie Pillers certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Schulein had 18 digs and two aces, while Pillers had a kill. Schulein has been hot , having posted 12 or more digs the last eight times she's played.

Carlyle got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Avery Eversgerd out in front who had six digs and ten assists.
