Volleyball Recap: Pocono Mountain West Takes a Loss

Pocono Mountain West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Northampton Konkrete Kids, falling 3-0. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Konkrete Kids from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Jerel Sims paced Pocono Mountain West's offense, picking up ten kills. Sims got some help from Antonio Baric and his 16 assists. Finally, Baric was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Pocono Mountain West's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Northampton, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Pocono Mountain West is set to square off against their familiar foe Bethlehem Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Northampton will take on rival Nazareth Area at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
