Soccer Game Preview: Central vs. Northeast

The Central Chargers will head out to take on the Northeast Raiders at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Central's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Central's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Jefferson County 1-0.

Meanwhile, Northeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Warner Robins, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Northeast can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 381st, while Warner Robins are ranked 123rd).

Central's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Northeast, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Everything went Central's way against Northeast in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, as Central made off with a 10-0 win. Does Central have another victory up their sleeve, or will Northeast turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
