Preview: East Henderson Eagles vs. Pisgah Bears
East Henderson has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Pisgah Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
East Henderson posted their biggest win since December 1, 2023 on Friday. They blew past North Henderson 61-36.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Henderson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madison McCall, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and four steals. McCall also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Foushee, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Pisgah strolled past Tuscola with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 56-38. Given Pisgah's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 118th, while Tuscola is ranked 451st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
East Henderson's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Pisgah, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
East Henderson took a serious blow against Pisgah when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 68-17. Thankfully for East Henderson, Chloe Burch (who scored seven points along with ten rebounds and nine steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
