Baseball Recap: Bristol Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Windham, Bristol was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Conneaut Spartans. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Panthers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Diesel Williams was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Jonas Miller was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

Bristol always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Conneaut only posted an OBP of .227.

Bristol's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Conneaut, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bristol will venture away from home to face off against St. John at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Conneaut, they will head out to take on Bucyrus at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
