Softball Recap: Hayden Comes Up Short

Hayden lost to Mogollon on Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lobos might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 14-7 to the Mustangs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Lobos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Trinity Collier and YVANNA WADDELL did some serious damage despite the final result: Collier got on base in three of her six plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while WADDELL went 1-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Collier has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. MIANNAH BRAVO was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Hayden's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Mogollon, the win got them back to even at 12-12.

Hayden has already played their next contest, a 13-1 loss against Florence on the 20th. As for Mogollon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 13-3 defeat against St. Johns on the 21st.
