Basketball Game Preview: Honaker Tigers vs. Eastside Spartans

The Honaker Tigers and the Eastside Spartans will round out the year against one another at at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Honaker will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Honaker will head into Saturday's match having proved themselves against George Wythe: Honaker took a 26-point defeat the last time they faced off against George Wythe, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Honaker sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 47-44 win over George Wythe on Saturday.

It was another big night for Alayna McNulty, who posted 14 points and eight rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Carey Keene, who earned eight points along with eight rebounds and five assists.

Meanwhile, Eastside strolled past Lee with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 59-44.

Eastside now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Honaker, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
