Baseball Recap: Palo Verde Panthers vs. Coronado Cougars
Palo Verde had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the Coronado Cougars onto the board and left with a 4-0 win on Friday. The victory was nothing new for Palo Verde as they're now sitting on 12 straight.
Palo Verde got a great performance from Mayson Reichartz as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over 6.1 innings pitched.
At the plate, Ethan Clauss was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Johns, who went 1-for-3 with a triple and a run.
Palo Verde has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 27-10 record this season. As for Coronado, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-14.
