Softball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Beekmantown's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Beekmantown won the last time they faced Plattsburgh and things went their way on Thursday too. The Eagles came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 5-1.

Lillian Perry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Eleanna Fullum was excellent, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one run. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.

Beekmantown has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Plattsburgh, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Coming up, Beekmantown will take on Northern Adirondack in a tournament on Sunday. Plattsburgh does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
