Baseball Recap: Chippewa Valley Takes a Loss

After flying high against Bay City Western on Saturday, Chippewa Valley came back down to earth. The Big Reds fell 5-1 to the Cardinal Mooney Catholic Cardinals on Monday. The Big Reds were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cardinals from their previous meeting back in May of 2019.

Chippewa Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Hall, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Chippewa Valley's loss dropped their record down to 16-13-2. As for Cardinal Mooney Catholic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-10-1.

While Chippewa Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
