Meanwhile, Bell City had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.7 points) and they went ahead and made it 11 last Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 49-30 win over the Hornets. Given the Bruins' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while the Hornets are ranked 114th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bell City's victory was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-3. As for Lacassine, their win bumped their record up to 12-15.
