Volleyball Recap: Charlotte Christian Wins Going Away Against Ravenscroft

The Charlotte Christian Knights made easy work of the Ravenscroft Ravens on Saturday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Charlotte Christian never let Ravenscroft on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 26-24, 25-18.

Charlotte Christian can attribute much of their success to Karis Blackson, who had six aces. That's the most aces Blackson has posted over her last nine games.

Blackson wasn't the only good server: Charlotte Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 21 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in six consecutive matches.

Charlotte Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Ravenscroft, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Charlotte Christian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Charlotte Country Day School at 6:15 p.m. on the 16th. As for Ravenscroft, they will take on Bunn at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
