Softball Recap: Pitman Gets the Win

Pitman won the last time they faced Millennium and things went their way on Friday too. The Pride came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 7-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pride.

Jillian Baylard spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Kaylee Fuller was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, four RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Ivy Butler was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Pitman was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They are 5-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Pitman's victory bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Millennium, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season.

Pitman didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 24-8 win against Pacheco on the 25th. As for Millennium, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-4 victory against Gustine on the 25th.
