Baseball Recap: Rochester Comes Up Short

Rochester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Union Area Scotties. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Rams have suffered against the Scotties since April 20, 2022.

Keegan Currie was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. He also brought in two RBI, marking his first of the season.

Rochester's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Union Area, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Rochester beat the Scotties by a score of 16-1 later that day.
