Basketball Recap: Golden Sierra Comes Up Short

Golden Sierra played a tough game on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Woodland Christian Cardinals 79-28. The Grizzlies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-14.

Despite the loss, Golden Sierra still got an impressive performance from Bradley Dodson, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 12 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Dodson has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played.

It was another big night for Romello Bruhn, who went 15 of 23 to rack up 37 points along with eight rebounds and four steals for Woodland Christian. That makes it five consecutive games in which Bruhn has scored at least a third of Woodland Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Tanner Thomas, who went 9 for 15 en route to 20 points and seven boards.

Golden Sierra's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Woodland Christian, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 20-5.

Golden Sierra wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 55-52 loss against Mesa Verde on the 7th. Woodland Christian has also already played their next matchup (against San Juan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
