Baseball Recap: Vineland Fighting Clan vs. Highland Regional Tartans
Vineland and Highland Regional pushed the score to 11-9 the last time they played Highland Regional, but on Sunday defenses reigned supreme. The Fighting Clan never let the Tartans get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. For the Fighting Clan, this counts as revenge for the 11-9 win the Tartans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.
Jake Garton tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out seven over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Vineland is 4-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-4 otherwise.
