Recap: Maize Eagles vs. Andover Trojans
The Maize Eagles lost against the Andover Trojans back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Maize took a 57-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Andover.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alec Grill, who scored 9 points along with 7 steals. Another player making a difference was Jalen Batiste, who scored 12 points.
Maize's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Andover, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Maize will head out on the road to face off against Eisenhower at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Eisenhower focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday. As for Andover, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against McPherson at 12:00 p.m.
