Football Recap: Glenbrook North Takes a Loss

Glenbrook North lost against Grant Community back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Spartans lost 40-19 to the Bulldogs.

Grant Community's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Max Hembrey, who picked up 237 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Those 237 receiving yards gave Hembrey a new career-high. Michael Potempa was in the mix as well, providing Grant Community with two touchdowns.

Glenbrook North's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Grant Community, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Glenbrook North will look to defend their home field on Friday against Elk Grove at 7:00 p.m. As for Grant Community, they will venture away from home to challenge Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Bulldogs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
