Recap: Wewoka Tigers vs. Allen Mustangs

It was a good run, but the Wewoka Tigers unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 54-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Allen. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wewoka in their matchups with Allen: they've now lost four in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Wewoka lost, one person who can't be blamed is Timber Carter. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Carter has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jhaivyn Patton, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Wewoka's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3. As for Allen, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-0.

Wewoka will take on Dale at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Dale presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Wewoka in Oklahoma (Dale is ranked second, while Wewoka is ranked 34th). As for Allen, they will head out on the road to face off against Vanoss at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
