Basketball Recap: Junction City Snags Fifth Win in Last Six Games

Junction City hadn't done well against Fordyce recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Junction City Dragons came out on top against the Fordyce Redbugs by a score of 47-38. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 49-46 back in December of 2024.

Junction City is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Fordyce, their loss dropped their record down to 5-16.

Coincidentally, Junction City and Fordyce will both be playing Poyen the next time they take the court. Junction City will host Poyen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Fordyce will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
