West Branch has gone 3-0 against Lisbon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Thursday. The West Branch Bears will welcome the Lisbon Lions  at 7:30  p.m. West Branch knows how to get  points on the board -- the  squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Lisbon likes a good challenge.
West Branch is probably headed into the  game with a chip on their shoulder considering Mid-Prairie just ended the team's  three-game winning streak  on Tuesday. They took  a  72-56 bruising from the Golden Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings  (they are ranked 228th, while the Golden Hawks are ranked 82nd).
 Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Lisbon). They were the clear victor by  an  85-63 margin over Cedar Valley Christian on Monday. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five  contests by 22  points or more this season.
 Lisbon's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for West Branch, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
 West Branch didn't have too much breathing room in their  matchup against Lisbon  in their previous meeting  back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with  a  48-43 win.
