Soccer Game Preview: Bunker Hill vs. Bandys

Bunker Hill is 0-10 against Bandys since September of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Bears will venture away from home to take on the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. Bunker Hill will be strutting in after a victory while Bandys will be coming in after a loss.

Bunker Hill is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over Maiden on Thursday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Bunker Hill considering their one-goal performance the matchup before.

Their offense was hitting Maiden from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Axel Chavez led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Bandys lost 6-1 to East Lincoln on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Bandys can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 198th, while East Lincoln are ranked 45th).

Bunker Hill has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-9-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four matches. As for Bandys, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7-1.

Bunker Hill came up short against Bandys in their previous matchup back in September, falling 2-0. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
