Basketball Recap: Nettleton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Columbus Christian Academy on Tuesday, Nettleton came back down to earth. The Tigers lost 75-49 to the North Pontotoc Vikings on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 73-45 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

Nettleton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for North Pontotoc, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nettleton won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Walnut at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for North Pontotoc, they and Hickory Flat will face off at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played.
