Eastern Greene is 0-4 against North Daviess since April of 2021 but things could change  on Wednesday. The Thunderbirds will take on the Cougars at 6:00  p.m. Eastern Greene is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5  runs per game  this season.
Eastern Greene will bounce into Wednesday's   match after  beating Mitchell, who they had gone 0-7 against in their seven prior meetings. The Thunderbirds won by a  run and slipped past the Bluejackets  9-8. The  win was familiar territory for the Thunderbirds, who have now won three  contests in a row.
 Charley Paurazas was  incredible,  going 3-for-5 with three  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double. She has been hot recently, having  posted three or more  hits the last three times she's  played.  Alyvia West was another key player,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with one  run and one  RBI.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Eastern Greene  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least nine  hits in four consecutive  games.
 Meanwhile,  it was a proper cat-fight when North Daviess challenged Jasper on Tuesday. The Cougars took  a  6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.
 The  victory  got Eastern Greene back to even at 3-3. As for North Daviess, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.
 Eastern Greene might still be hurting after the  11-2 defeat they got from North Daviess  when the teams last played  back in March of 2024. Can the Thunderbirds avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
