Baseball Recap: Wonderful College Prep Academy Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Caruthers, Wonderful College Prep Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Del Oro Suns by a score of 6-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wolves as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Julian Tafoya made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Tafoya was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sebastian Ruiz, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Wonderful College Prep Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Del Oro, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wonderful College Prep Academy will square off against Avenal at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Wonderful College Prep Academy is facing Avenal at the right time seeing as Avenal is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Del Oro, they will face off against Tranquillity at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
