Volleyball Recap: Jones Starts Season with Win at Home

Jones gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Industrial Cobras. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jones never let Industrial on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-23, 25-18.

Leading Jones to victory were Julianna Delarosa and Gabriella Pesina. Delarosa had 11 digs and one block, while Pesina had 16 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Delarosa has posted since back in October of 2024.

Coming up, Jones will be playing at home against Bishop at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Industrial, they are taking a road trip to face off against St. Joseph at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
