Softball Preview: Columbian Tornadoes vs. Norwalk Truckers

The Columbian Tornadoes are taking a road trip to take on the Norwalk Truckers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games Columbian has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Columbian is headed into the game having just suffered their closest loss since April 26th on Tuesday. They fell just short of Seneca East by a score of 10-8.

Breanna McNutt made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run. Corinne Plott was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs.

Meanwhile, Norwalk got themselves on the board against Ontario on Friday, but Ontario never followed suit. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Warriors, sneaking past 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Truckers.

Columbian has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season. As for Norwalk, the win got them back to even at 11-11.
