Horizon came tearing into Wednesday's game with four straight wins dating back to last season, and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Denver South Ravens with a sharp 3-0 victory. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Hawks yet this season.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-20, 27-25.

Horizon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sarah Vaness, who had 18 digs and two assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Annalee Young, who had 23 assists and five digs.

Horizon's win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Coming up, Horizon will square off against Loveland at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Denver South, they will face off against Cherokee Trail at 8:00 a.m. on Friday.
