Softball Recap: Prosser Drops Highest Score of Season Against Zillah

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Prosser). Everything went their way against the Zillah Leopards on Tuesday as they made off with a 14-4 victory. The Mustangs not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 29, 2024 (when they won 22-11).

Prosser let Mallory Barnhart and Keelyn Cox run wild. Barnhart went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI, while Cox went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three runs. That's the most hits Cox has posted since back in March. Hannah Beck was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Prosser always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Prosser's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-13-1. As for Zillah, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Prosser will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Leopards: the pair will be back at it again later today.
