George Washington was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Hinkley on Thursday. The Patriots blew past the Thunder 20-0. Considering the Patriots have won six matches by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Matt Holliger, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Max Watada, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

George Washington was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The victory got George Washington back to even at 7-7. As for Hinkley, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-11.

Looking ahead, George Washington will welcome Vista PEAK Prep at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Hinkley, they will head out to square off against Custer County at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Thunder will need to watch out since the Bobcats have now posted at least ten runs in their last five contests.
