Barbe is 8-2 against Sulphur since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Barbe Buccaneers will venture away from home to face off against the Sulphur Golden Tors at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Barbe was able to grind out a solid win over Lafayette, taking the game 56-46. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Buccaneers.

Meanwhile, Sulphur had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23 points) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Friday. They walked away with a 48-37 victory over the Bears. Given the Golden Tors' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Bears are ranked 130th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Barbe's win bumped their record up to 25-15. As for Sulphur, they pushed their record up to 29-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Barbe suffered a grim 53-33 defeat to Sulphur in their previous matchup back in January. Can Barbe avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
