The Valley View Eagles will challenge the Liberty Bison at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Valley View's pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so Liberty's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
On Tuesday, Valley View earned a 6-2 win over Paloma Valley. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.
Giselle Morales spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Destiny Mendoza, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hailey Ramirez, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Valley View lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Paloma Valley didn't launched any home runs.
Meanwhile, Liberty entered their tilt with Orange Vista on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Coyotes with a sharp 9-2 win. Considering the Bison have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Emma Campos and Mariah Solorio did most of the damage at the plate: Campos went 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Solorio went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Solorio continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jennessy Lopez, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Valley View pushed their record up to 20-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Liberty, their record is now 17-8.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Valley View hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .368. However, it's not like Liberty struggles in that department as they've averaged .386. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Valley View's way against Liberty when the teams last played back in April, as Valley View made off with a 12-4 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
