Soccer Game Preview: Dr. Krop vs. Mourning

The Dr. Krop Lightning are taking a road trip to square off against the Mourning Sharks at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Dr. Krop comes in on seven and Mourning on six.

Dr. Krop's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over JC Bermudez Doral. The Lightning's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last five games.

Scheck Hillel Community School typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Mourning proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lions, sneaking past 1-0. Give the Sharks' defense some credit: that's the team's sixth straight shutout.

Dr. Krop's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 30 goals over those seven contests. As for Mourning, their win bumped their record up to 7-1-2.
