Baseball Recap: Southwestern Comes Up Short

Southwestern and North Decatur squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Southwestern had to settle for second. They came up short against the Chargers, falling 8-0. The Spartans have struggled against the Chargers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Southwestern now has a losing record of 8-9. As for North Decatur, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

Southwestern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Decatur, they will challenge Tri at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
