Basketball Game Preview: Chavez Eagles vs. Verdugo Hills Dons

Chavez is 1-9 against Verdugo Hills since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Chavez Eagles will look to defend their home court against the Verdugo Hills Dons at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Chavez is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 13th straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They had to suffer through a 80-30 loss at the hands of North Hollywood.

Meanwhile, Verdugo Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Grant and fell 87-56.

Verdugo Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Chavez, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.

Chavez was taken down by Verdugo Hills 51-21 when the teams last played back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Verdugo Hills' Jeffrey Moran, who went 7 for 13 en route to 19 points and four steals.
